The Pure and Perfect Mind, light of the three dimensions of existence
Introduction
This radical Dzogchen text belongs to the category of the “Mind series” (in Tibetan, semdé) and presents the nature of the mind through a group of paradoxical statements that point to its non-dual characteristics.
Along with The Perfection that cuts through Everything, The Sublime Monarch and the Compendium, this text is one of the so-called “four minor teachings” that were taught by Shri Singha to Bairotsana immediately after the transmission of the “five early translations” (snga ‘gyur lnga).
This text needs to be transmitted by a qualified teacher in order to be studied and put into practice. However, if you have not yet received the transmission, you can simply read it.
“In the mandala of the Body, Speech and Mind,
Everything is established in the contemplation of the matrix space that knows and realizes…”

The Pure and Perfect Mind, the Light of the Three Dimensions of Existence
Homage to the Transcendent Victorious One, the All-Excellent!
Precious wish-fulfilling jewel that transcends the three dimensions of existence,
He shows the path — motionless — to complete freedom
Which cannot be found by looking elsewhere,
The omnipresent place of the great sphere.
Primordial knowledge born by itself, unaltered clarity-luminosity,
Great bliss – untraceable -, quintessential reality,
Nature of forms, always and totally pure,
State of non-dual bliss, spontaneously accomplished.
His rising in the matrix space of the great unchanging Good [1]
Completes the Body of perfect plenitude of great bliss,
And transcends all characteristics of concept and analysis.
Such is the sphere of activity of the great vision [2]
In the mandala of the Body, Speech and Mind,
Everything is established in the contemplation of the matrix space that knows and realizes.
When this extraordinary achievement becomes manifest,
All bow down at its feet, in the three dimensions of existence.
Thus ends “The pure and perfect mind, the light of the three dimensions of existence”.
