“What is Dzogchen?” Episode 1: A first approach to Dzogchen, the Great Perfection
In this first episode of the series “What is Dzogchen?”, Mila Khyentse and Gregoire Langouet talk about what Dzogchen is, its specificity in relation to Tibetan Buddhism, but also about their very close links, the primordial characteristics of this tradition, the prerequisites for its practice and who can practice it..
Dzogchen is still very little known as a great tradition of humanity and is often confused with Tibetan Buddhism, even though they are very close and perfectly intertwined for centuries.
That is why Mila Khyentse Rinpoche and Grégoire Langouet, both specialists in this tradition, enlighten us on what Dzogchen is and is not. They also enlighten us on the main characteristics of this tradition, the prerequisites to put it into practice and the way it can be practiced.
Dzogchen is an easily accessible tradition, which can be practiced in many different ways in our daily lives and which focuses on the liberation from suffering and the implementation of the means to achieve it.
