Manifestation
Conditioned phenomena appear illusory, as they do not inherently exist. It is precisely because they do not inherently exist that they can appear in their ceaseless diversity: their causes and conditions—being themselves phenomena that co-arise in an infinite interplay—cannot necessarily exist on their own. Just like the chicken and the egg, neither could have come first to give rise to the other on its own. Being thus devoid of independent existence and free from the very beginning, phenomena in their multiplicity are the mind, which, being empty in essence, is not distinct from primordial clarity—the knowing nature devoid of duality. Therefore, forms, colors, sounds, sensations, and thoughts are the play of emptiness of the All-Excellent, the clarity-luminosity appearing as the sovereign manifestation, free from dualistic grasping.
