Le\u00a0passage du col<\/span><\/h2>\n

Je ne suis pas une grande sportive mais en randonn\u00e9e, j\u2019ai une obsession tenace. Aller voir de l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 ce qui se cache derri\u00e8re le tournant du chemin, ce qui se trouve derri\u00e8re la cr\u00eate devant nous. Et si il y avait une belle vue ? Et si il y avait quelque chose d\u2019autre ?<\/p>\n

Un col a quelque chose de magique : sans quitter la route, on y passe d\u2019un univers \u00e0 un autre. Quelques m\u00e8tres et parfois on change radicalement de d\u00e9cor : on arrive sur un plateau, ou dans une vall\u00e9e verdoyante, le d\u00e9cor se fait plus ac\u00e9r\u00e9 ou l\u2019on d\u00e9couvre qu\u2019ici la neige n\u2019a pas encore fondu. Une l\u00e9g\u00e8re peur parfois s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve, de ne pas savoir ce qui nous attend apr\u00e8s. Le chemin deviendra-il hostile ou au contraire plus bucolique ?<\/p>\n

Ce sentiment fugace marque l\u2019intuition d\u2019un lieu important, une notion encore bien vivante en Himalaya mais que les traditions d\u2019Occident n\u2019ignoraient pas non plus.<\/p>\n

Dans nos montagnes, ces espaces \u00e9taient d\u00e9j\u00e0 des lieux d\u2019intercession divine. Ils repr\u00e9sentaient des territoires dangereux, o\u00f9 la nature se faisait plus sauvage et o\u00f9 le vent soufflait fort, derri\u00e8re lesquels des brigands pouvaient se cacher, et qui n\u00e9cessitaient de s\u2019en remettre \u00e0 une force sup\u00e9rieure pour prot\u00e9ger son chemin. On y positionnait des sanctuaires aux divinit\u00e9s locales, qui sont devenus chapelles, croix et oratoires, pour la protection mais aussi pour symboliser cet espace de rencontre entre deux mondes.
Un des cols les plus connus est celui du Grand St Bernard, dans le Valais suisse, sur la via Francigena qui se dirige vers Rome. Dans l\u2019antiquit\u00e9, un temple \u00e0 Jupiter y fut \u00e9rig\u00e9 par les romains, avant que plusieurs si\u00e8cle plus tard, ce soit Bernard d\u2019Aoste, devenu saint Bernard qui y fonda un hospice pour prot\u00e9ger les voyageurs au 9\u00e8me si\u00e8cle.[1]<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l\u2019Orient, dans un article universitaire sur la marche en Himalaya, Isabelle Sacareau d\u00e9crit : \u201cDans les r\u00e9gions de culture tib\u00e9taine, les cols d\u2019altitude sont ponctu\u00e9s de ch\u00f6rten, cairns surmont\u00e9s de drapeaux \u00e0 pri\u00e8res o\u00f9 les voyageurs d\u00e9posent une pierre, une fleur ou un morceau de tissu pour signifier la victoire des dieux sur les d\u00e9mons et les remercier d\u2019avoir permis leur passage.\u201d[2]<\/strong><\/a> On ponctue encore aujourd\u2019hui ce moment par un retentissant \u201ckyi kyi so so lha gyal lo !\u201d, en cri de victoire. Car c\u2019est bien le territoire des yulhas qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 travers\u00e9, les divinit\u00e9s des montagnes que Paul nous pr\u00e9sentait dans La montagne est vivante 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Le passage d\u2019un col peut aussi rev\u00eatir un aspect spirituel, encore plus sp\u00e9cifiquement lors des p\u00e8lerinages. Il symbolise alors un changement d\u2019\u00e9tat.<\/p>\n

Sur le chemin de circumambulation du mont Kailash, la montagne la plus sacr\u00e9e du Tibet central, le passage du col, le \u201cDrolma la\u201d, est un moment des plus importants du chemin. Il symbolise le passage entre deux vies. Sa travers\u00e9e est le r\u00e9sultat d\u2019une longue ascension, le plus souvent depuis le monast\u00e8re de Drirapuk o\u00f9 le p\u00e8lerin aura fait halte la veille. Les 600 m\u00e8tres de mont\u00e9e assez raide qui le pr\u00e9c\u00e8dent, entre 5000 et 5600 m\u00e8tres d\u2019altitude, pr\u00e9sentent un immense effort pour le marcheur alors que l\u2019air s\u2019est rar\u00e9fi\u00e9.
Au bord du chemin, les p\u00e8lerins d\u00e9posent un v\u00eatement, symbolisant les actes n\u00e9gatifs purifi\u00e9s par l\u2019effort et la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction de l\u2019\u00e9veill\u00e9e parfaite Tara, et arriv\u00e9s au sommet, ils font des offrandes de fum\u00e9e, accrochent des drapeaux, offrent de l\u2019encens, s\u00e8ment au vent des papiers imprim\u00e9s de pri\u00e8re. Ainsi on salue les divinit\u00e9s du lieu, on prie et on remercie les \u00e9veill\u00e9s parfaits. De l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 du col, le lac de la compassion les attend, puis la redescente. C\u2019est une renaissance, un nouveau voyage qui commence.<\/p>\n

Ces chemins ext\u00e9rieurs sont un reflet de notre chemin int\u00e9rieur. Nous marchons sur le chemin et d\u2019un col \u00e0 un autre, de nouveaux territoires de connaissance se d\u00e9voilent, nous amenant de plus en plus proche de la connaissance sup\u00e9rieure.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est un changement d\u2019\u00e9tat dans la continuit\u00e9, le regard se pose simplement sur un horizon qui n\u2019\u00e9tait pas visible jusque-l\u00e0 mais qui a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent et se d\u00e9voile alors. C\u2019est le chemin qui continue, sans rupture, mais o\u00f9 tout devient diff\u00e9rent.<\/p>\n

Et un jour se pr\u00e9sente le sommet, en haut duquel la connaissance embrasse tout, par la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction des \u00e9veill\u00e9s parfaits.<\/p>\n
