Karima Carambar et Jean-Donald Tambourin randonnent dans les Alpes. L\u2019air est cristallin, l\u2019horizon illimit\u00e9 et les id\u00e9es claires. Ils ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 atteint une certaine altitude quand, au sortir d\u2019un bosquet de conif\u00e8res, ils d\u00e9bouchent sur une vaste prairie alpestre. Et l\u00e0\u2026 ils voient se dresser la silhouette hi\u00e9ratique d\u2019une marmotte\u00a0! Immobilisation totale\u00a0! Observation\u00a0! Et question\u00a0! La marmotte pourrait-elle \u00eatre un yogi\u00a0? En effet, depuis peu Karima et Jean-Donald s\u2019int\u00e9ressent \u00e0 la tradition du Dzogch\u00e8n (la Grande Perfection). Ils ont lu des textes mettant en sc\u00e8ne des yogis et yoginis se retirant dans des ermitages isol\u00e9s \u2013 des \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9serts\u00a0\u00bb au sens m\u00e9di\u00e9val du terme (tib. dben gnas<\/em>). Ceux-ci cultivent l\u2019aise naturelle loin des conventions sociales. Lorsqu\u2019ils voient la belle posture parfaitement immobile du rongeur de montagne (lat. marmota<\/em>), ils ne peuvent s\u2019emp\u00eacher d\u2019associer cette image aux r\u00e9cits sur la vie yogique. En effet, la marmotte ne se pr\u00e9occupe pas de l\u2019image qu\u2019elle projette, ne construit pas de r\u00e9cit complexe sur elle-m\u00eame, ne se tourmente pas avec le sens de sa vie et ne cherche pas \u00e0 cr\u00e9er une \u00ab\u00a0meilleure version d\u2019elle-m\u00eame\u00a0\u00bb. Elle demeure spontan\u00e9ment pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 son environnement et suit sans conflit ses rythmes naturels. Karima et Jean-Donald sont de jeunes urbains actifs et surmen\u00e9s et aimeraient vraiment bien avoir les m\u00eames qualit\u00e9s que ce mammif\u00e8re des altitudes\u2026\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mais qu\u2019est-ce au juste qu\u2019un yog\u012b\u00a0ou une yog\u012bni ? Ce terme d\u00e9signe en sanskrit une personne qui pratique le yoga, soit \u00ab\u00a0l\u2019union\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 la nature de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Il s\u2019agit de faire l\u2019exp\u00e9rience directe, \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re personne, de ce que pointent les enseignements du Dzogch\u00e8n. On pourrait savoir tout sur tout et mieux que tous mais garder un esprit ordinaire et confus. Il s\u2019agit pour la yog\u012bni d\u2019aller voir et d\u2019\u00e9prouver \u201c corps et \u00e2me\u201d ce que ces mots d\u00e9signent. La figure du yog\u012b\u00a0est souvent tr\u00e8s \u00e9vocatrice pour des occidentaux postmodernes. C\u2019est elle qui inspire nos deux randonneurs au point qu\u2019ils la reconnaissent en une paisible marmotte. Karima et Jean-Donald n\u2019ont pas envie d\u2019adh\u00e9rer \u00e0 aucune nouvelle croyance. Trop de mots, trop d\u2019id\u00e9es, trop de d\u00e9ceptions. Par contre, ils aspirent \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 de leur \u00eatre. Cette d\u00e9couverte ne peut prendre pour eux que la forme d\u2019une exp\u00e9rience directe. ils veulent l\u2019effet \u201c Whaow \u201d !<\/p>\n

Pour qu\u2019il y ait une v\u00e9ritable lib\u00e9ration de l\u2019esprit et une reconnaissance de sa nature radieuse de vacuit\u00e9-luminosit\u00e9, il importe d\u2019embrasser vraiment l\u2019attitude d\u2019une yog\u012bni. Celle-ci d\u00e9die toute son existence \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9veil. Il est souvent dit que l\u2019existence de yog\u012b est la derni\u00e8re dans le cycle infini des renaissances – \u00a0le pr\u00e9lude \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9veil total, complet et d\u00e9finitif. Les crit\u00e8res mondains n\u2019ont plus du tout cours, seul importe l\u2019\u00e9veil. Ceci s\u2019appelle l\u2019\u00e9mergence de la certitude (tib. nges ‘byung).<\/em> Comme dit Nyoshul Khen Rinpoch\u00e9 (1932-1999) dans un de ses po\u00e8mes\u00a0:<\/p>\n

Ce grand ma\u00eetre, que j\u2019ai eu le bonheur de rencontrer, ne se payait pas de mots mais incarnait ce qu\u2019il dit dans ce po\u00e8me. Il \u00e9manait de lui une aise et une joie profonde. Sa vie \u00e9tait faite d\u2019une multitude de hauts et de bas. Il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 moinillon malmen\u00e9, mendiant, ermite, vivant parmi les s\u0101dhus en Inde, \u00e9rudit reconnu et enseignant devant des foules, empoisonn\u00e9, etc. Il ne s\u2019identifiait \u00e0 aucune de ces exp\u00e9riences de la vie. Seule lui importait la reconnaissance pleine et enti\u00e8re, instant apr\u00e8s instant, de la nature de l\u2019esprit. Pour son bien comme pour celui des \u00eatres. En effet, le yog\u012b offre au monde ce pr\u00e9sent supr\u00eame\u00a0: montrer que cette nature de Bouddha que rec\u00e8le le c\u0153ur des \u00eatres est reconnaissable et r\u00e9alisable dans une existence humaine. C\u2019est ce que pouvait ressentir quiconque l\u2019approchait.<\/p>\n

Cette simplicit\u00e9 radicale \u00e9chappe \u00e0 tout cadre social pr\u00e9\u00e9tabli et reconnaissable. Les yog\u012bs et yoginis peuvent vivre dans les ermitages les plus recul\u00e9es mais aussi dans l\u2019agitation des grandes villes. M\u00eame leur entourage peut tout \u00e0 fait ignorer ce qu\u2019elles pratiquent. Cette tradition abonde en exemple d\u2019humbles yog\u012bs cach\u00e9s<\/em> qui \u2013 au moment de la mort \u2013 atteignent le Corps d\u2019arc-en-ciel soit la dissolution des \u00e9l\u00e9ments mat\u00e9riel du corps dans leur nature lumineuse.<\/p>\n

Est-ce le cas de la marmotte crois\u00e9e par Karima et Jean-Donald\u00a0?\u00a0 Peut-\u00eatre\u2026 Qui sait\u00a0? Pendant que nous parlions, l\u2019auguste rongeur a fil\u00e9 dans son terrier. Nos deux amis reprennent leur randonn\u00e9e\u00a0sans savoir si la marmotte est un yogi mais nous aurons au moins ici tent\u00e9 de d\u00e9finir ce qu\u2019est un yog\u012b.<\/p>\n
