Suivre un ma\u00eetre<\/h2>\n

Quand nous rencontrons un ma\u00eetre,<\/a> il est indispensable de commencer par un temps d\u2019observation<\/a> pour savoir si son enseignement peut correspondre \u00e0 notre recherche, ou pas.<\/p>\n

Nous \u00e9coutons ses enseignements, nous sommes attentifs \u00e0 ses actes, nous pouvons m\u00eame le c\u00f4toyer, lui proposer un caf\u00e9, mais nous ne sommes alors que dans cette phase d\u2019observation.<\/p>\n

Si ce qu\u2019il fait passer ne nous convient pas, nous finissons par aller chercher d\u2019autres voies ailleurs. Si cela nous convient, nous nous impliquons de plus en plus. Cela se fait souvent progressivement, parfois m\u00eame sans que l\u2019on s\u2019en rende compte. Nous d\u00e9veloppons alors une r\u00e9elle confiance, envers le ma\u00eetre, l\u2019enseignement, la lign\u00e9e, le chemin, et notre capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 le suivre.<\/p>\n

Puis nous r\u00e9alisons que le ma\u00eetre est devenu \u201cnotre\u201d ma\u00eetre car nous sommes pr\u00eats \u00e0 suivre ses instructions quoi qu\u2019il advienne.<\/p>\n

Cela ne veut pas dire que nous le suivrons sans peur sur le chemin, ni m\u00eame parfois sans h\u00e9sitation, mais ce qui caract\u00e9rise d\u00e9sormais ce lien, c\u2019est l\u2019absence de doute sur le fait que ce soit la bonne chose \u00e0 faire et l\u2019absence d\u2019h\u00e9sitation \u00e0 lui partager nos doutes. A ce moment l\u00e0, toutes nos interactions deviennent sources d\u2019enseignement<\/a>, car notre esprit est tourn\u00e9 vers l\u2019\u00e9veil et notre coeur empli de d\u00e9votion. La patience dont il fait preuve avec ses disciples est source d\u2019inspiration pour la propre patience que nous devons cultiver envers nous-m\u00eames, notre chemin et les autres ; les voeux que nous prenons aupr\u00e8s de lui sont la source de rappels indispensables dans notre quotidien ; ses instructions sur la mani\u00e8re d\u2019observer notre esprit, des joyaux \u00e0 cultiver \u00e0 chaque instant.<\/p>\n

Cet entra\u00eenement est exigeant, et le ma\u00eetre nous inspire un respect qui peut se m\u00ealer \u00e0 la fois d\u2019appr\u00e9hension et d\u2019\u00e9lan du coeur. Parce que nous savons qu\u2019il sera apaisant quand nous en aurons besoin, mais aussi courrouc\u00e9 quand il faudra \u201cr\u00e9ajuster\u201d notre chemin. Et plus nous avan\u00e7ons sur le chemin, plus les instructions seront subtiles, car la vue s\u2019affine.<\/p>\n

L\u2019authenticit\u00e9 de notre lien<\/a> garantit que ses instructions seront toujours les bonnes pour nous. Car dans cette relation sans jugement, nous ne pouvons plus nous cacher.<\/p>\n

Si nous avons une aspiration, partageons-la.<\/p>\n

Si nous avons endommag\u00e9 un voeu de pratique, confessons-le.<\/p>\n

Et saisissons chaque occasion pour affiner notre compr\u00e9hension de la nature de l\u2019esprit et les conditions de notre \u00e9veil, car le ma\u00eetre refl\u00e8te pour nous nos tendances illusoires et notre nature en m\u00eame temps. C\u2019est ce reflet qui nous donne une opportunit\u00e9 de reconnaissance et nous permet d\u2019avancer.<\/p>\n

Dans cette tradition, on pr\u00e9sente six types ma\u00eetres : l\u2019enseignant g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, celui qui donne les initiations et les samayas, celui qui permet la restauration des v\u0153ux, celui qui donne les instructions cruciales, celui qui lib\u00e8re l\u2019esprit, celui qui guide. A chaque moment du chemin, nous aurons besoin de l\u2019une de ces qualit\u00e9s, pour que l\u2019aspect relatif et l\u2019aspect ultime se rejoignent.<\/p>\n

Car le ma\u00eetre n\u2019est jamais ma\u00eetre par lui-m\u00eame, mais ma\u00eetre par rapport \u00e0 nos besoins. Il nous montre \u00e0 la fois nos obstacles et notre lib\u00e9ration. Il agit comme nous, mais totalement diff\u00e9remment. Il peut avoir ses plats pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s et ses habitudes, m\u00eame si tout lui est d\u2019unique saveur. A son contact, nous pourrons alors nous entra\u00eener \u00e0 faire des offrandes avec l\u2019intention juste. De son point de vue, tout sera toujours correct mais, de notre point de vue, nous pouvons entra\u00eener notre vigilance en observant ses actions et la fa\u00e7on dont il les m\u00e8ne comme autant de moyens offerts pour parcourir notre chemin.<\/p>\n

Nous reconnaissons alors que les actions du ma\u00eetre sont toujours l\u2019expression de Thougkje (tib. thugs rje<\/em>), la grande compassion.<\/p>\n

En fait, la caract\u00e9ristique principale du ma\u00eetre est qu\u2019il n\u2019est autre que le reflet pour nous de la nature primordiale. Dans le Dzogch\u00e8n, il est le lien qui nous est indispensable pour d\u00e9couvrir, r\u00e9aliser et maintenir la nature primordiale de l\u2019esprit.<\/p>\n

Pour cela, la b\u00e9n\u00e9diction doit rencontrer la d\u00e9votion<\/a>, l\u2019aspiration du pratiquant. Quand elles se rencontrent, plus aucune question ne demeure : c\u2019est que nous avons trouv\u00e9 notre ma\u00eetre, un lien profond est \u00e9tabli. Alors nous le suivons jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9veil sans faillir, pour le bien de tous les \u00eatres.<\/p>\n

Avec cette aspiration, suivre un ma\u00eetre peut \u00eatre d\u2019une exigence sans nom, mais sera toujours d\u2019une \u00e9vidence sans pareil.<\/p>\n
