Fils du brahmane \u201cBon Instructeur\u201d et de sa femme \u201cLampe Lumineuse\u201d, le gar\u00e7on fait montre d\u2019un brillant intellect et d\u2019un profond int\u00e9r\u00eat pour la doctrine des causes et des effets en vogue dans la r\u00e9gion \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque &#8211; \u00e0 savoir le bouddhisme.<\/p>\n<p>Comment se passe la relation avec son p\u00e8re, tandis que celui-ci l\u2019initie aux instructions des Veda ? Manjushrimitra devient-il vers\u00e9 dans les rituels brahmaniques avant que de prendre les voeux de moine bouddhiste ?<\/p>\n<p>Nul ne le sait. Mais on peut raisonnablement penser qu\u2019il \u00e9tudie la tradition v\u00e9dique et la tradition bouddhiste en parall\u00e8le des quatre autres sciences traditionnelles <a href=\"#down\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a>, puisque celles-ci constituent la connaissance essentielle que tout fils ou fille de noble famille doit ma\u00eetriser pour assumer ses responsabilit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>A vingt ans il devient un expert de ces cinq sciences et continue \u00e0 \u00e9tudier aupr\u00e8s des grands pandits (\u00e9rudits) de son temps jusqu\u2019\u00e0 devenir, dit-on, le plus grand des cinq cents plus grands.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est alors que l\u2019\u00eatre d\u2019Eveil Manjushri, le bodhisattva de la connaissance sup\u00e9rieure, lui appara\u00eet en vision et lui dit :<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNoble fils ! Si tu veux devenir un parfait \u00e9veill\u00e9 en une seule vie, rends-toi en Oddiyana, \u00e0 la rencontre de Prah\u00e9vajra !\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ni une ni deux, Manjushrimitra, qui a entendu parler du jeune gar\u00e7on et de son enseignement au-del\u00e0 de la loi de la cause et des effets, rassemble six panditas et part \u00e0 sa rencontre pour en d\u00e9coudre verbalement avec lui.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dzogchentoday.org\/fr\/lhistoire-des-premiers-maitres-garab-dorje\/\">Comme on le sait maintenant<\/a>, l\u2019enfant sort vainqueur du d\u00e9bat. R\u00e9alisant son orgueil d\u2019avoir voulu d\u00e9faire publiquement cet \u00eatre qui d\u00e9tient les enseignements ultimes de la Grande Perfection, Manjushrimitra sort son poignard et s\u2019appr\u00eate \u00e0 se trancher la langue.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019un geste le gar\u00e7on l\u2019arr\u00eate et lui dit : \u201cSi tu souhaites r\u00e9parer ton erreur, \u00e9cris plut\u00f4t un livre rassemblant les enseignements au del\u00e0 de la loi des causes et effets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tandis que les autres pandits rentrent \u00e0 Bodhgaya, Manjushrimitra demeure aupr\u00e8s de son nouveau ma\u00eetre et re\u00e7oit les six millions quatre cent mille vers de la tradition du Dzogch\u00e8n. Prah\u00e9vajra l\u2019introduit \u00e0 la nature primordiale de son propre esprit par symbole <a href=\"#down\"><strong>[2]<\/strong><\/a> initiant ainsi la transmission sp\u00e9ciale des Vidyadhara &#8211; les Seigneurs de l\u2019\u00e9vidence primordiale.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir pass\u00e9 plusieurs dizaines d\u2019ann\u00e9es avec son ma\u00eetre, \u00e0 l\u2019instant o\u00f9 celui-ci s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve dans le ciel dans une masse de lumi\u00e8re et dispara\u00eet, Manjushrimitra, empli d\u2019une tristesse et d\u2019une d\u00e9votion sans limites, re\u00e7oit le testament de son ma\u00eetre, <a href=\"https:\/\/dzogchentoday.org\/fr\/les-trois-aphorismes\/\">les trois aphorismes qui ciblent les points cruciaux<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9rudit poursuit sa pratique dans les charniers, et structure les six millions quatre cent mille vers du Dzogch\u00e8n en trois s\u00e9ries, adapt\u00e9s aux trois cat\u00e9gories d\u2019\u00eatres :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La s\u00e9rie de l\u2019esprit (Semd\u00e9), pour celles et ceux attir\u00e9s par l\u2019approche intellectuelle ;<\/li>\n<li>La s\u00e9rie de l\u2019espace (Longd\u00e9), pour celles et ceux attir\u00e9s par l\u2019absence d\u2019effort ;<\/li>\n<li>La s\u00e9rie des instructions essentielles (M\u00e8n ngag d\u00e9), pour celles et ceux attir\u00e9s par les deux.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Il divise finalement cette derni\u00e8re s\u00e9rie en deux ensembles : les tantras explicatifs et les tantras de la transmission orale.
