L’iceberg flotte au milieu de l\u2019oc\u00e9an. Un gla\u00e7on g\u00e9ant, une sculpture de glace, un objet aussi majestueux qu\u2019\u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Au-dessus de la surface de l\u2019eau, les rayons du soleil se refl\u00e8tent sur sa masse blanche aux formes harmonieuses. En dessous, son blanc devient bleu, sa masse se d\u00e9ploie et plonge dans les profondeurs. Il est immense et se fond dans l\u2019oc\u00e9an. De l\u2019eau dans de l\u2019eau.<\/p>\n

La partie \u00e9merg\u00e9e semble autonome. Elle\u00a0se d\u00e9tache du ciel et nous pouvons en dessiner les contours. C\u2019est la premi\u00e8re chose que nous voyons en arrivant en bateau : une surface pour les manchots, un lieu d\u2019amarrage pour le zodiac, un objet qui flotte.<\/p>\n

Mais quand l\u2019eau devient calme, nous devinons que l\u2019iceberg s\u2019enfonce, qu\u2019il existe autant au-dessus qu\u2019en dessous. La curiosit\u00e9 nous pousse \u00e0 explorer son enti\u00e8ret\u00e9.\u00a0Alors nous plongeons, plus profond, et passons sous la surface.<\/p>\n

Cette masse immerg\u00e9e est bien plus vaste que ce que nous avions observ\u00e9. Les dix pour cent visibles cachent les quatre-vingt dix pour cent qui la font flotter.<\/p>\n

Au contact de l\u2019eau, les contours sont moins nets. L’iceberg fond de mani\u00e8re continue. Plus ou moins vite, de mani\u00e8re plus ou moins homog\u00e8ne, mais sans interruption.\u00a0Il devient \u00e9vident que sa base est de la m\u00eame nature que l\u2019oc\u00e9an.<\/p>\n

Et si le dessous l\u2019est, le dessus l\u2019est aussi.<\/p>\n

A force de fondre, l\u2019\u00e9quilibre s’inverse et l\u2019iceberg se renverse. Le dessous devient le dessus, le dessus devient le dessous. Il continue de fondre et se retourne \u00e0 nouveau. Encore et encore.\u00a0Entre quelques jours et quelques mois, il aura enti\u00e8rement disparu.<\/p>\n

Lorsque l’eau de l\u2019iceberg aura rejoint celle de l\u2019oc\u00e9an, elle s\u2019\u00e9vaporera, formera des nuages, de la neige, un nouveau glacier, qui lib\u00e8rera de nouveaux icebergs. L’oc\u00e9an est \u00e0 la fois source et r\u00e9sultat, base et fruit.<\/p>\n

Ainsi va le cycle de l\u2019eau et celui de nos existences.<\/p>\n

Notre vie ressemble \u00e0 cette surface visible.\u00a0Nos sensations, nos pens\u00e9es et nos \u00e9motions semblent \u00eatre un tout solide et coh\u00e9rent.\u00a0Nos perceptions d\u00e9finissent un d\u00e9but et une fin.<\/p>\n

Puis, avec un peu d\u2019entra\u00eenement, comme le Dzogch\u00e8n nous le propose, l\u2019esprit du pratiquant devient plus calme et\u00a0entraper\u00e7oit ses profondeurs.\u00a0Appara\u00eet alors\u00a0l’espace des tendances r\u00e9currentes, celles qui caract\u00e9risent l\u2019agr\u00e9able, le d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able et le neutre ; celles qui gouvernent la naissance, la mort et le devenir ; qui r\u00e9gissent la gravit\u00e9 et le vent.\u00a0Puis se d\u00e9voilent un espace et un temps qui ne se mesurent pas.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des profondeurs oc\u00e9aniques<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Elle semble diff\u00e9rente de celle de la surface, mais comme l\u2019iceberg qui se renverse, la vision de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des profondeurs oc\u00e9aniques finit par rejoindre le quotidien.\u00a0Alors la diff\u00e9rence s\u2019amenuise. En fait, elle n\u2019a jamais exist\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Notre existence nous semble immuable alors qu\u2019elle fond discr\u00e8tement, centilitre par centilitre sous le soleil des jours qui passent.<\/p>\n

Iceberg et oc\u00e9an sont les manifestations d\u2019une m\u00eame eau, comme nos vies sont la\u00a0manifestation de la m\u00eame nature de l\u2019esprit, sans d\u00e9but ni fin, sans existence ni non existence.<\/p>\n

Au moment de la mort, naturellement, notre iceberg a fondu.<\/p>\n

L\u2019eau s\u2019est m\u00eal\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019eau.<\/p>\n

Le cycle peut d\u00e9sormais s\u2019arr\u00eater\u2026 ou se continuer.<\/p>\n
