Et bien, un \u00e9pisode des aventures d\u2019Indiana Jones exprime l\u2019\u00e9pitom\u00e9 de cette qu\u00eate.<\/p>\n

Alors qu\u2019il s\u2019engage dans les profondeurs du sanctuaire taill\u00e9 \u00e0 m\u00eame la roche, \u00e0 la recherche du saint Graal, la coupe du charpentier Joseph d\u2019Arimathie ayant recueilli le sang du Christ sur la croix, Indie doit affronter l\u2019\u00e9preuve du saut de la foi<\/em> (Leap of faith<\/em> en VO):<\/p>\n

Indie, alors, doit enfin prendre son courage \u00e0 deux mains et appliquer la seule instruction fondamentale parvenue jusque-l\u00e0, la seule et unique pens\u00e9e qui lui reste \u00e0 l\u2019esprit : le saut de la foi<\/em>. Ce n\u2019est pas tant la foi aveugle qui ne s\u2019inqui\u00e8te de rien et reste dans le flou. Indie voit le pr\u00e9cipice, il est immense, il conna\u00eet les cons\u00e9quences d\u2019une chute.<\/p>\n

La \u201cfoi\u201d, en effet, trop souvent ramen\u00e9e au domaine religieux, vient de fides<\/em>, en latin, qui signifie non seulement \u201cconfiance\u201d, mais aussi \u201cauthenticit\u00e9\u201d : en somme, une fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aspect le plus profond de soi, une intimit\u00e9 avec la part encore invisible qui g\u00eet en nous et que le saut de l\u2019\u00e9preuve va pouvoir illuminer.<\/p>\n

Et s\u2019il y a un \u201csaut\u201d, c\u2019est qu\u2019il y a ce petit moment d\u2019inconscience o\u00f9 tout est incertain, o\u00f9 plus aucun rep\u00e8re ordinaire n\u2019est acquis ; ce moment o\u00f9 ce qui faisait la (fausse) tranquillit\u00e9 ordinaire de \u201cla vie\u201d, dispara\u00eet : ce moment, c\u2019est, somme toute, la mort. La mort du soi pour r\u00e9v\u00e9ler sa vaste, vaste, vaste – comme le gouffre sous les pieds d\u2019Indie – nature absolue.<\/p>\n

Le soi est en effet toujours provisoire puisqu\u2019il ne peut passer la barri\u00e8re de la mort. Et tout le jeu de toutes les traditions authentiques est de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des \u00e9preuves o\u00f9 l\u2019habile et courageux chevalier, empli de fides<\/em>, aspirant \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re du Graal o\u00f9 boire la vie de l\u2019Esprit au-del\u00e0 du temps, d\u00e9couvrira que dans ce saut r\u00e9side la conversion du chemin d\u2019ignorance en chemin de clart\u00e9.<\/p>\n

D\u00e8s lors, ce qu\u2019Indie comprend, c\u2019est qu\u2019appliquer l\u2019instruction de la fides<\/em> dans toute sa simplicit\u00e9 est la seule mani\u00e8re d\u2019avancer. L\u2019authentique fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 \u00e0 la nature de tous les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes apparaissant \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rience est le seul chemin \u00e0 arpenter, vide, sans autre support que l\u2019\u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re transparence de leur fugace dynamique, compl\u00e8tement pure de toute d\u00e9signation, inexistante de toute substance, spontan\u00e9ment accomplie, libre de toute technique ou de toute voie \u00e0 emprunter.<\/p>\n

Toutes les \u00e9laborations mentales, les atermoiements, les luttes ou les fuites, sont des ponts conceptuels qui s\u2019effondrent comme des ch\u00e2teaux de cartes sous le poids de l\u2019auto-illusion. Ils ne tiennent pas, et sont toujours d\u00e9ceptifs.<\/p>\n

Seule la fides<\/em> en la nature de ce qui est plus vaste que tous les espoirs et toutes les craintes \u00e0 propos de la vie et de la mort d\u00e9ploie une dynamique spirituelle suffisante pour franchir le gouffre des vies et des morts \u2014 dont le Dzogch\u00e8n enseigne qu\u2019elles sont en nombre infini.<\/p>\n

L\u00e0 o\u00f9 il n\u2019y a plus de chemin, il suffit simplement de marcher dans le vide.<\/p>\n

Simplement<\/em>, parce que la simplicit\u00e9 est la pr\u00e9sence \u00e0 la base de la libert\u00e9 ultime de toute marche, de toute d\u00e9marche de lib\u00e9ration. Toute marche sur un chemin de lib\u00e9ration est donc vide de marche et libre \u00e0 la base : simple<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Aussi, comme d\u2019autres chevaliers avant lui, Indie fait un pas au-dessus du vide.<\/p>\n

Et ne tombe pas.<\/p>\n

Voil\u00e0 que le chemin invisible, qui n\u2019est plus le chemin conceptuel, se r\u00e9v\u00e8le sous ses pas.<\/p>\n

Arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019autre bout, Indie peut lancer du sable sur la voie trac\u00e9e \u2014 pour les autres chevaliers, ceux qui suivront derri\u00e8re lui, ceux qui pourront s\u2019engager sur le chemin sans chemin.<\/p>\n

Mais le vent de l\u2019ab\u00eeme souffle, qui sait si le sable va demeurer ?<\/p>\n

Qui sait si la voie encore trac\u00e9e ne retrouvera pas son invisibilit\u00e9 originelle ?<\/p>\n
