Un temps d\u2019observation<\/h2>\n

Le chemin peut commencer de nombreuses mani\u00e8res, mais tr\u00e8s souvent il existe un moment de bascule. Une rencontre, la lecture d\u2019un texte, quelque chose qui nous fait dire \u201coh\u2026, ah\u2026, hum\u2026 il s\u2019est pass\u00e9 quelque chose\u201d. Notre curiosit\u00e9 est piqu\u00e9e au vif, et l\u2019on ne peut pas ne pas aller plus loin.<\/p>\n

Alors commence une phase d\u2019observation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

J\u2019ai assist\u00e9 \u00e0 mon premier weekend d\u2019enseignement il y a 13 ans. J\u2019y allais un peu pour faire plaisir \u00e0 quelqu\u2019un et parce que, bon, j\u2019avais pr\u00e9vu de partir en vacances au Yunnan (Chine) deux mois plus tard alors, au moins culturellement, \u00e7a pouvait \u00eatre int\u00e9ressant. Autant dire que je ne cherchais (consciemment) rien et que j\u2019avais peu d\u2019attentes !\u00a0<\/p>\n

J\u2019ai trouv\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re journ\u00e9e passionnante. Je suis rentr\u00e9e excit\u00e9e comme une puce \u00e0 la maison : \u201con a parl\u00e9 de ceci, il nous a expliqu\u00e9 \u00e7a, c\u2019\u00e9tait hyper int\u00e9ressant\u2026\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Le deuxi\u00e8me jour, on a pratiqu\u00e9, un peu, et j\u2019ai pris une claque. Je ne sais pas exactement ce qui s\u2019est pass\u00e9 mais je me suis retrouv\u00e9e toute b\u00eate en sanglots, \u00e0 me blottir sous l\u2019immense \u00e9charpe que j\u2019avais prise avec moi. Je m\u2019\u00e9tais toujours pos\u00e9 des questions sur la vie, l\u2019univers et le reste. Je n\u2019avais pas plus de r\u00e9ponse mais c\u2019est comme si l\u2019on venait de me dire : il y a un chemin pour y r\u00e9pondre.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s ce weekend, je savais que j\u2019allais aller plus loin. Mais, en bonne ing\u00e9nieure, j\u2019ai v\u00e9rifi\u00e9. J\u2019ai achet\u00e9 deux, trois livres sur le sujet pour voir si ce qui m\u2019avait tant int\u00e9ress\u00e9e ce weekend se confirmait. J\u2019ai pratiqu\u00e9 l\u2019exercice re\u00e7u, presque tous les matins, pour v\u00e9rifier que ce que j\u2019avais entre-aper\u00e7u faisait sens sur la dur\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

J\u2019ai questionn\u00e9 l\u2019enseignant, sur ce qui me semblait \u00e9trange dans la pratique, sur mes \u00e9tats d\u2019\u00e2me pour participer \u00e0 un prochain stage qui tombait pendant mes vacances. J\u2019ai re\u00e7u patience, bienveillance et compr\u00e9hension.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Je suis donc partie en vacances et me suis inscrite au stage suivant. De deux jours, passer \u00e0 une semaine. J\u2019ai re\u00e7u de nouvelles instructions, que j\u2019ai de nouveau mises en pratique quotidiennement. Je me suis inscrite au stage suivant, rebelote. Et j\u2019ai programm\u00e9 ma premi\u00e8re retraite, dans un g\u00eete \u00e0 la campagne. Dix jours pour me plonger de mani\u00e8re plus intense dans la pratique.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Et\u2026 \u00e7a ne s\u2019est plus jamais arr\u00eat\u00e9 depuis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

D\u2019\u00e9tape en \u00e9tape.\u00a0<\/p>\n

J\u2019ai d\u00e9couvert que la tradition d\u00e9crivait les caract\u00e9ristiques d\u2019un ma\u00eetre qualifi\u00e9 et conseillait \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve de bien s\u2019assurer qu\u2019elles \u00e9taient r\u00e9unies avant de s\u2019engager.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Et que le ma\u00eetre v\u00e9rifiait aussi que l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e9tait qualifi\u00e9 avant de lui donner les instructions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

M\u00eame si l\u2019on peut \u00eatre tent\u00e9 de d\u00e9marrer tout feu tout flamme, ce temps d\u2019observation est crucial et permet au mental de se mettre au diapason avec le c\u0153ur. C\u2019est ce qui nous permettra de ne pas douter demain, quand nous serons plus engag\u00e9s sur le chemin. Ce qui fera que ces doutes salutaires du d\u00e9but ne deviennent pas des ab\u00eemes de doutes dans la pratique.<\/p>\n

Prenons le temps d\u2019observer. Prenons le temps d\u2019\u00eatre s\u00fbr. Mais pas en attendant passivement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nous pouvons nous assurer que la mani\u00e8re d\u2019enseigner nous convient, que ce que nous voyons ne nous heurte pas m\u00eame si cela peut nous d\u00e9ranger ou \u00e9branler nos certitudes. Pas besoin de critiquer pour montrer son ind\u00e9pendance d\u2019esprit mais se rappeler qu\u2019il n\u2019y a pas de \u201cmeilleur ma\u00eetre\u201d, mais seulement de \u201cmeilleur ma\u00eetre pour soi\u201d.<\/p>\n

Pratiquons, pour v\u00e9rifier que cela nous correspond, pour observer directement ce qui se passe dans notre esprit et confrontons-le \u00e0 ce que nous avons \u00e9tudi\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ne c\u00e9dons pas \u00e0 l\u2019oisivet\u00e9 en choisissant de faire \u201cplus tard\u201d. Ne c\u00e9dons pas \u00e0 l\u2019hyperactivit\u00e9, en voulant faire tout, tout de suite. Ne c\u00e9dons pas \u00e0 la facilit\u00e9 de vouloir remettre notre r\u00e9alisation entre les mains de quelqu\u2019un. Car alors, il se ne passera rien. Nous nous arr\u00eaterons aussi vite que nous avons commenc\u00e9. Notre \u00e9lan s\u2019essoufflera et deviendra d\u00e9ception.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ce n\u2019est pas un chemin de passivit\u00e9, ni au d\u00e9but, ni au milieu, ni \u00e0 la fin. Nous sommes responsables de notre pratique et de notre chemin. Et nous n\u2019avons pas envie de faire n\u2019importe quoi.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cette existence humaine est trop pr\u00e9cieuse.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Recevoir l\u2019enseignement d\u2019un ma\u00eetre, donner un enseignement \u00e0 un disciple, c\u2019est un lien fort qui touche \u00e0 ce qu\u2019il y a de plus inestimable : la possibilit\u00e9 de reconnaitre la nature primordiale de notre esprit.<\/p>\n
