Le dragon illusoire<\/h2>\n

Il y a une phrase de Sakya Pandita : \u201cCertains se pr\u00e9parent \u00e0 la pratique spirituelle toute leur vie, meurent, et continuent de se pr\u00e9parer\u201d.<\/p>\n

Moi, \u00e7a m\u2019a toujours fait peur : ne pas commencer. Toujours h\u00e9siter, sur le bord, sans se lancer. Atermoyer, et finalement se d\u00e9tourner. Par peur. Peur d\u2019avoir peur.<\/p>\n

La pratique spirituelle me faisait peur parce que c\u2019\u00e9tait un monde inconnu.<\/p>\n

Plus, elle \u00e9tait pleine d\u2019interdits : c\u2019\u00e9tait l\u2019endroit o\u00f9 \u201cj\u2019allais me perdre\u201d, \u201crentrer dans une secte\u201d, \u201cabdiquer mon libre-arbitre et ma facult\u00e9 de jugement\u201d, \u201carr\u00eater de penser\u201d.<\/p>\n

Elle avait aussi un d\u00e9lice de transgression, de sensation limite. De crise d\u2019adolescence. De crise existentielle totale. Civilisationnelle. Le truc qui allait tout remettre en cause. \u201cLa totale\u201d.<\/p>\n

Elle \u00e9tait pleine de fantasmes : le grand plongeon o\u00f9 s\u2019oublier. Mettre fin \u00e0 soi. Mourir sans mourir. Aller au-del\u00e0 de soi, se d\u00e9passer. Ego dilu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

“Plut\u00f4t que de chercher des techniques pour gu\u00e9rir, j\u2019ai cherch\u00e9 des pratiques pour observer.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

C\u2019\u00e9tait aussi le lieu du repos, du soulagement ultime, l\u2019endroit o\u00f9 j\u2019allais r\u00e9ussir \u00e0 ne rien faire. J\u2019allais y trouver la paix, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire la fin des conflits. Une sorte de terrier o\u00f9 se blottir et o\u00f9 le monde arr\u00eaterait de tourner. Animal instinctif qui s\u2019endort au chaud.<\/p>\n

C\u2019\u00e9tait aussi un promontoire de domination : le mont d\u2019o\u00f9 je pourrai tout voir, tout jauger, d\u00e9samorcer toutes les r\u00e8gles du jeu, deviner toutes les cartes. \u00catre au-dessus de la m\u00eal\u00e9e. Le sage qui ne se m\u00eale pas du sort du monde mais en comprend tous les ressorts. Sage qui contemple d\u2019un \u0153il sage.<\/p>\n

Pour toutes ces raisons, je n\u2019ai pas commenc\u00e9 de pratique spirituelle. Car je voulais \u00eatre toutes ces figures, au lieu d\u2019\u00eatre moi. Qui moi ? C\u2019est bien la question. Commencer \u00e0 chercher o\u00f9 c\u2019\u00e9tait, ce truc, \u00e7a je ne voulais pas : l\u00e0, juste l\u00e0 o\u00f9 se tenait la souffrance. La souffrance qui ne voulait pas se voir et qui toujours se retournait sur autre chose pour se fuir. Toujours une autre figure-mod\u00e8le \u00e0 imiter, un nouveau projet \u00e0 commencer, une nouvelle cause pour se battre. C\u2019est cette souffrance qui se d\u00e9niait et se d\u00e9menait pour s\u2019inventer une vie.<\/p>\n

Alors, c\u2019est l\u00e0 : j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 regarder. Petit \u00e0 petit. C\u2019\u00e9tait le d\u00e9but de quelque chose. Moi ou pas moi, je m\u2019en foutais : c\u2019\u00e9tait l\u00e0. \u00c7a ne fuyait plus la souffrance et c\u2019\u00e9tait honn\u00eate. Sans figure, mais aussi sans contrition, sans d\u00e9mesure inatteignable. Ni trop petite ni trop grande, mesurable : la mesure de la souffrance, suivie, sentie, pas \u00e0 pas.<\/p>\n

J\u2019ai regard\u00e9 ma souffrance jour apr\u00e8s jour sans essayer de la dominer ou de la gu\u00e9rir tout de suite, sans essayer de faire le sage ou d\u2019\u00eatre heureux d\u2019un coup ; sans essayer d\u2019aller au-del\u00e0 de \u00e7a, moi, l\u2019humain qui \u00e9tait l\u00e0. Juste l\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Et donc, plut\u00f4t que de chercher des techniques pour gu\u00e9rir, j\u2019ai cherch\u00e9 des pratiques pour observer. Et puisque ma souffrance \u00e9tait le fondement de mon humanit\u00e9, mon \u00eatre-l\u00e0, j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 la trouver, elle. Ma souffrance, mon ombre.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est \u00e7a que j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 pratiquer et pratique toujours : voir ma souffrance comme une ombre. Cette souffrance, que j\u2019avais tant mis \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart et refoul\u00e9e, repouss\u00e9e jusqu\u2019aux confins de la conscience, faisait partie de la famille, n\u2019\u00e9tait au fond pas distincte de moi. Elle \u00e9tait une partie de moi et quand j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 la re-rencontrer, \u00e0 lui re-parler, elle ne m\u2019a pas paru si effrayante. Pass\u00e9 le premier moment d\u2019inconfort, nous avons appris \u00e0 nous conna\u00eetre, nous sommes devenus bons camarades. Pas \u00e0 en devenir maso, non, mais au point de la reconna\u00eetre quand elle est l\u00e0, sans la fuir : quand elle tire le signal d\u2019alarme, je lui pr\u00eate l\u2019oreille, j\u2019\u00e9coute sa le\u00e7on, je me mets au diapason de son chant.<\/p>\n

Voil\u00e0 un savoir utile en temps de crise : savoir \u00e9couter ce que dit sa souffrance.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9tablir le contact avec elle, c\u2019est, comme dans toute relation authentique et honn\u00eate, pouvoir avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 sa r\u00e9alit\u00e9, \u00e0 sa v\u00e9rit\u00e9. Et acc\u00e9der \u00e0 cette v\u00e9rit\u00e9 de la souffrance, c\u2019est acc\u00e9der \u00e0 ce c\u0153ur vibrant d\u2019humanit\u00e9 qui vit en nous. C\u2019est r\u00e9tablir le lien avec cette vie m\u00eame que nous tentons de vivre. Alors, au lieu de la subir comme une avalanche de probl\u00e8mes \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre, elle devient une grande aventure \u00e0 traverser : les probl\u00e8mes insolubles deviennent des \u00e9preuves initiatiques et, de victime, on passe chevalier.<\/p>\n

Un chevalier qui poss\u00e8de la vaillance de voir au c\u0153ur de la souffrance et d\u2019y observer sa nature premi\u00e8re, libre de tout souci, libre m\u00eame de toute recherche de bonheur. Un chevalier qui peut observer, sans sourciller, le mouvement de la souffrance et y d\u00e9celer le mouvement de la nature primordiale, jamais vraiment obscure, jamais vraiment cach\u00e9e. Elle \u00e9tait l\u00e0 depuis toujours, comme un secret d\u2019\u00e9ternit\u00e9 ! Si peu gard\u00e9e\u2026 Gard\u00e9e ? Si, elle l\u2019\u00e9tait justement : par ce faux dragon de souffrance qui n\u2019a jamais voulu qu\u2019on le combatte, mais toujours qu\u2019on le regarde dans les yeux.<\/p>\n

Peut-\u00eatre que c\u2019est cela savoir commencer : ne plus chercher \u00e0 tuer le dragon et apprendre \u00e0 le regarder. Pour envisager, un jour, de le chevaucher et de s\u2019envoler avec lui.<\/p>\n
