Il nous faut donc faire un bond dans le temps, au moins jusqu\u2019\u00e0 4000 ans avant J-C, et la constitution du monde indo-europ\u00e9en, m\u00eame si on pense \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle que la naissance des cultures proto indo-europ\u00e9ennes se situerait autour de 8000 avant notre \u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>Selon\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.fr\/books\/edition\/Mythes_et_dieux_des_Indo_Europ%C3%A9ens\/SyRSCwAAQBAJ?hl=fr&amp;gbpv=0\">Georges Dum\u00e9zil<\/a>, toutes les populations de culture indo-europ\u00e9ennes \u2013 nos anc\u00eatres pasteurs nomades des steppes turco-mongoles \u2013 ont toujours poss\u00e9d\u00e9 une triple structure de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et l\u2019ont r\u00e9pandue partout o\u00f9 ils ont essaim\u00e9, ou presque. La culture de Yamna, la plus connue, a donc impos\u00e9, en gros entre 3500 avant notre \u00e8re et 800 avant notre \u00e8re, une structure de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 humaine dont nous avons \u00e9galement h\u00e9rit\u00e9 en Occident. Cette structuration de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a engendr\u00e9 une division en trois parties s\u00e9parant les acteurs de la fonction \u00ab\u00a0sacr\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb, de la fonction \u00ab\u00a0militaire\u00a0\u00bb et de la fonction \u00ab\u00a0productive\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le monde indien, elle a donn\u00e9 naissance aux \u00ab <span>var\u1e47a<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb (\u00ab couleur \u00bb et \u00ab rang \u00bb en sanskrit) pendant la p\u00e9riode v\u00e9dique. Le Rig-Veda dit que l\u2019homme primordial, le <span>puru\u1e63a (prononcer pourousha)<\/span>, donna naissance aux quatre <span>var\u1e47a<\/span> dans la strophe 12 de <em><strong>L\u2019Hymne au P<span>uru\u1e63a<\/span><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0: \u00ab Sa bouche devint le Brahmane ; le Guerrier (r\u0101janya, \u00e9quivalent de k\u1e63atriya) fut le produit de ses bras ; ses cuisses furent l\u2019Artisan (vai\u015bya) ; de ses pieds naquit le Serviteur (\u015b\u016bdra)\u00a0\u00bb <a href=\"#down\">[1]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ces <span>var\u1e47a<\/span>, appel\u00e9es <em>castas<\/em> (castes) par les missionnaires portugais, ont hi\u00e9rarchis\u00e9 toute la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 indienne \u00e0 partir de l\u00e0, en cr\u00e9ant des \u00ab\u00a0paires vertueuses\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0: les deux premi\u00e8res\u00a0: pr\u00eatres et rois (ou guerriers), et les deux derni\u00e8res\u00a0: marchands et serviteurs. La derni\u00e8re a longtemps \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9r\u00e9e d\u2019ailleurs comme une \u201cnon-couleur\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ce sont les deux premi\u00e8res couleurs qui ont toujours constitu\u00e9 l\u2019ossature du pouvoir dans toutes les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s indo-europ\u00e9ennes. Le raja r\u00e8gne sur terre et le brahmane est le repr\u00e9sentant des dieux, un messager de leur volont\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s des hommes et un sacrificateur d\u2019offrandes aupr\u00e8s des dieux. Ce mod\u00e8le de pouvoir s\u2019est impos\u00e9 assez rapidement partout, de l\u2019Extr\u00eame-Orient chinois \u00e0 l\u2019Extr\u00eame-Occident europ\u00e9en.<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, dans l\u2019histoire de l\u2019humanit\u00e9, le ma\u00eetre spirituel est avant tout un \u00eatre qui accompagne, qui conseille et qui fait grandir car sa connaissance, sa sagesse, n\u2019est pas de ce monde, c\u2019est \u00e0 dire n\u2019est pas mondaine. Il conseille les rois ou les puissants \u00e0 prendre des d\u00e9cisions justes et le fait qu\u2019il puisse \u00ab\u00a0dialoguer\u00a0\u00bb avec ce qui demeure invisible \u00e0 la plupart des hommes, fait de lui un \u00eatre \u00e0 part. Il est respect\u00e9, voire r\u00e9v\u00e9r\u00e9, dans toute l\u2019Asie, et il est indispensable \u00e0 l\u2019Homme car il peut montrer la voie de la lib\u00e9ration, voire, dans certaines soci\u00e9t\u00e9s d\u2019Asie, lib\u00e9rer directement de la souffrance. Son statut social est donc l\u2019un des plus hauts, parfois m\u00eame le plus haut dans beaucoup de lieux.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Dans le monde asiatique, on dit qu\u2019il est profond\u00e9ment n\u00e9cessaire de bien conna\u00eetre le ma\u00eetre, l\u2019ami de bien, avec lequel on s\u2019engage.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Le monde tib\u00e9tain a h\u00e9rit\u00e9 de la tradition indo-europ\u00e9enne en ce sens que le mod\u00e8le de l\u2019enseignant provient directement du monde indien avec l\u2019introduction simultan\u00e9e du Bouddhisme et du Dzogch\u00e8n d\u00e8s le 8e\u00a0si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p>Les rois Songts\u00e8n Gampo, Trisong D\u00e9ts\u00e8n et Tri R\u00e4lpach\u00e8n des 7e-9e\u00a0si\u00e8cles, appel\u00e9s les \u00ab\u00a0trois rois religieux\u00a0\u00bb ont diffus\u00e9 et implant\u00e9 la tradition indienne du couple pr\u00eatre-roi qui est devenu l\u2019ossature m\u00eame de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 tib\u00e9taine classique. Un terme tib\u00e9tain sp\u00e9cifique, \u00ab\u00a0<em>mchod yon<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, que l\u2019on rend souvent par \u00ab\u00a0patron-pr\u00eatre\u00a0\u00bb, exprime cette r\u00e9alit\u00e9 fondamentalement importante de l\u2019histoire et des traditions tib\u00e9taines. Elle prend racine dans la tradition asc\u00e9tique du retrait du monde dans la for\u00eat \u2013 ce qu\u2019avait fait le Bouddha en son temps \u2013 et a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 la tradition de celles et ceux qui pratiquent le yoga\u00a0: les yoginis et les yogis. Beaucoup sont, comme on l\u2019a vu plus haut, de basse extraction ou, fait plus rare, de haute naissance mais qui ont renonc\u00e9 au monde. Ils enseignent dans les lieux retir\u00e9s, dans la montagne, le d\u00e9sert, la for\u00eat et ont tr\u00e8s souvent un trait commun\u00a0: une attitude non-conventionnelle. Ils sont donc plus difficiles \u00e0 suivre en tant que ma\u00eetres, \u00e0 moins d\u2019appr\u00e9cier cette libert\u00e9 absolue par rapport \u00e0 tout ordre conformiste\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>Le monde tib\u00e9tain a \u00e9galement mis un accent important sur cette tradition de la for\u00eat en la transposant \u00e0 la montagne et \u00e0 ses sommets d\u00e9serts. Il suffit de citer des noms comme\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/treasuryoflives.org\/biographies\/view\/Do-Khyentse-Yeshe-Dorje\/9612\">Do Khy\u00e8nts\u00e9 Y\u00e9sh\u00e9 Dorj\u00e9<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/treasuryoflives.org\/biographies\/view\/Patrul-Orgyen-Jigme-Chokyi-Wangpo\/4425\">P\u00e4ltrul Rinpoch\u00e9<\/a>\u00a0ou m\u00eame le\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/treasuryoflives.org\/biographies\/view\/Sixth-Dalai-Lama-Tsangyang-Gyatso\/5871\">6e\u00a0Dalai Lama<\/a>, pour \u00e9voquer des figures hautes en couleur et toujours en marge de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, mais profond\u00e9ment ancr\u00e9es dans cette tradition des yogis des origines. Elle a malgr\u00e9 tout eu tendance \u00e0 s\u2019effacer au fur et \u00e0 mesure des si\u00e8cles par rapport \u00e0 la tradition institutionnelle des monast\u00e8res. Il est d\u2019ailleurs \u00e0 noter que beaucoup de yogis r\u00e9alis\u00e9s ont fond\u00e9 une lign\u00e9e et\/ou ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019origine de la fondation de monast\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p>Pour nous, en Occident, qui avons en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral perdu le souvenir de cette r\u00e9alit\u00e9, celle de nos racines \u2013 qui a pourtant ciment\u00e9 \u00e9galement notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pendant des mill\u00e9naires <a href=\"http:\/\/@down\" data-wplink-url-error=\"true\">[2] <\/a>\u2013 la relation \u00e0 un ami de bien est un signe de soumission et de d\u00e9pendance. Un des cr\u00e9dos actuels de la \u00ab\u00a0mouvance spirituelle\u00a0\u00bb occidentale n\u2019est-elle d\u2019ailleurs pas \u00ab\u00a0ni dieu, ni ma\u00eetre\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>Pas en Asie. Pas dans le berceau asiatique des grandes traditions de l\u2019humanit\u00e9, encore aujourd\u2019hui. Cette \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9pendance\u00a0\u00bb est un autre type de lien ou le respect est empreint d\u2019humilit\u00e9, mais pas de servilit\u00e9. On sert par reconnaissance et amour, mais on n\u2019est pas effac\u00e9 en tant qu\u2019individu. Les r\u00f4les, les fonctions et les attributions sont d\u00e9finies de mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s claire et rien n\u2019est confus. Un ma\u00eetre spirituel enseigne, un \u00e9tudiant \u00e9coute et applique. Pas l\u2019inverse, ni autre chose. Si d\u00e9faut il y a, d\u2019un des c\u00f4t\u00e9s ou des deux \u00e0 la fois, on arr\u00eate la relation. Ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas la bonne. Il n\u2019y a pas de regret. Il suffit d\u2019essayer encore.<\/p>\n<p>Ne pas conna\u00eetre les racines des traditions \u00ab\u00a0exotiques\u00a0\u00bb que l\u2019on arpente est un gros d\u00e9faut\u00a0: on ne conna\u00eet alors pas les r\u00e8gles, on ne sait pas comment agir, ni comment se comporter. Alors, on imite sans comprendre, ce qui entra\u00eene beaucoup plus de confusion que de sagesse.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le monde asiatique, on dit qu\u2019il est profond\u00e9ment n\u00e9cessaire de bien conna\u00eetre le ma\u00eetre, l\u2019ami de bien, avec lequel on s\u2019engage. Il est tout autant n\u00e9cessaire de conna\u00eetre le type de relation (saine) bas\u00e9e sur la volont\u00e9 d\u2019apprendre, de pratiquer un chemin de lib\u00e9ration et la confiance qui en d\u00e9coule. Enfin, il est fondamentalement n\u00e9cessaire de conna\u00eetre le contexte de cette relation pour pouvoir la faire \u00e9voluer, si besoin, vers une r\u00e9elle rencontre avec soi-m\u00eame, sa culture et ses propres convictions.<\/p>\n<p>Il y a un proverbe tib\u00e9tain qui dit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0seuls des humains d\u00e9guis\u00e9s en ch\u00e8vre <a href=\"http:\/\/down\" data-wplink-url-error=\"true\">[3]<\/a> peuvent suivre un loup d\u00e9guis\u00e9 en humain\u00a0\u00bb. Ce qui veut dire\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0le respect n\u2019est jamais aveugle\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Il est enfin int\u00e9ressant de noter \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle l\u2019\u00e9volution de la pens\u00e9e sur la fa\u00e7on d\u2019arpenter un chemin spirituel d\u2019origine asiatique \u00e0 la mode occidentale. Cela veut dire que le premier temps des noces est pass\u00e9, celui o\u00f9 l\u2019on a l\u2019impression de voler sur un petit nuage rose, et qu\u2019il est d\u00e9sormais temps de faire des efforts si on veut que notre relation marche vraiment et dure dans le temps. On ne peut faire cela si on ne se retourne pas sur la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 des origines et les racines de ce qui constitue ces chemins, dont un des pivots centraux est la notion de transmission authentique d\u2019un ami de bien qui a d\u00e9j\u00e0 arpent\u00e9 le chemin de la lib\u00e9ration \u00e0 un \u00e9l\u00e8ve qui le commence.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_divider
