Un peu de calme \u2013 esp\u00e8re-t-on lorsque l’on rentre dans sa coquille-cabane \u2013 avant un nouveau tour de grand huit\u00a0!<\/p>\n Partir en retraite, un jour, dix jours ou mille jours, en ermite de montagne, des souterrains ou du d\u00e9sert, cela s’est vu dans beaucoup d’autres traditions contemplatives. Et j’avoue avoir une affection particuli\u00e8re pour nos anc\u00eatres chr\u00e9tiens des d\u00e9serts d’\u00c9gypte ou de Syrie ; ces \u00ab hommes ivres de Dieu \u00bb comme les nomma Jacques Lacarri\u00e8re\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>[3]<\/a> ; ou encore aujourd’hui, pour <\/span><\/a>s\u0153ur Catherine<\/span><\/a>, ermite catholique des Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es, ou \u00e9galement pour Lama Jigm\u00e9 Thrinl\u00e9 Gyamtso, ce moine bouddhiste fran\u00e7ais qui v\u00e9cut plus de dix ann\u00e9es dans sa cabane alpine. Je rentre dans ma coquille.<\/p>\n Pourtant, une fois arriv\u00e9 sur la plage, je m’aper\u00e7ois n’avoir pas \u00e9t\u00e9 le seul \u00e0 avoir eu cette bonne id\u00e9e. Tous les copains et copines Bernards et Bernardes les Ermites veulent aussi leur coin de repos silencieux, leur part d’ombre et de soleil, leur tranquillit\u00e9 bien m\u00e9rit\u00e9e. Mince. Dans le Dzogch\u00e8n il existe d\u2019ailleurs des retraites dans le noir le plus complet [4] <\/a>, ce \u00e0 quoi pensait Bernard en s\u2019enterrant \u2013 mais l\u00e0 aussi, se dit l\u2019Ermite, je m’aper\u00e7ois que c’est encore bien peupl\u00e9\u2026<\/p>\n Rien \u00e0 faire. Nulle part o\u00f9 se retirer en solitaire. Alors, c’est d\u00e9cid\u00e9, moi, le Bernard l’Ermite, je rentre en moi-m\u00eame, dans ma coquille, mon logement temporaire. Nulle part o\u00f9 chercher, nulle part o\u00f9 aller puisque que c’est d\u00e9j\u00e0 l\u00e0 \u2013 je le porte sur moi, en moi, et ce, o\u00f9 que je sois\u00a0! Je m’arr\u00eate, au beau milieu de la plage. C’est d\u00e9finitif, c’est l\u00e0 que je me retire, au milieu de la foule baln\u00e9aire de mes semblables\u00a0!<\/p>\n Dans la tradition Dzogch\u00e8n, c’est parfois un peu pareil. On cherche le lieu id\u00e9al. Parfois on le trouve \u2013 La Sauvet\u00e9<\/a> aux pieds des Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es en est un exemple \u2013 mais parfois on n’a pas cette possibilit\u00e9. Alors mieux vaut, tel Bernard, porter sa coquille avec soi pour pouvoir trouver refuge en toute situation.<\/p>\n Ceci me rappelle une c\u00e9l\u00e8bre parabole de Shantideva [5]<\/a>. Mieux vaut porter des chaussures pour se prot\u00e9ger d’une route rugueuse, symbole des difficult\u00e9s de toute existence, plut\u00f4t que d’essayer d’aplanir et de lisser la terre enti\u00e8re. Et comme l’Ermite, nous pouvons changer de coquille… ou de chaussures : tubul\u00e9e ou spiral\u00e9e, lisse ou stri\u00e9e, parfois m\u00eame \u00e9ponge ou bambou font l\u2019affaire, pour ne rien dire de la vie en commensalit\u00e9 avec les an\u00e9mones de mer ! En fonction des situations, un grand nombre de formes de coquilles-retraites peuvent donc convenir.<\/p>\n Mais l’essentiel demeure \u2013 savoir o\u00f9 et comment trouver ce refuge int\u00e9rieur, l’acc\u00e8s \u00e0 cette retraite toujours possible, et ainsi savoir prendre ce \u201ctemps (profond) pour moi\u201d qu\u2019\u00e9voquait Mila Khyentse<\/a> \u2014 de vraies vacances, des \u201cvacances dans la nature de l\u2019esprit\u201d (le prochain article de Damien) !<\/p>\n C’est ce que le Dzogch\u00e8n propose\u00a0: en toute circonstance, pouvoir acc\u00e9der simplement et directement \u00e0 sa nature int\u00e9rieure, \u00e0 son essence profonde, son \u00eatre originel\u00a0: vacuit\u00e9-luminosit\u00e9-amour, c’est tout un. C’est ce que nous sommes\u00a0; l\u00e0 o\u00f9 nous pouvons nous retirer en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9, nous reposer, nous recharger\u00a0!
