Ancien tib\u00e9tologue et enseignant-chercheur aux universit\u00e9s de la Sorbonne et de Paris Dauphine, il se consacre depuis vingt ans \u00e0 l’adaptation et \u00e0 la diffusion du Bouddhisme et du Dzogch\u00e8n en Occident, tout en continuant \u00e0 l’enseigner en Asie o\u00f9 il a v\u00e9cu et re\u00e7u un certain nombre de lign\u00e9es d’enseignements qu’il a mis en pratique lors de nombreuses retraites solitaires. Son ma\u00eetre racine est Lobsang Dargy\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9, alias Alags Ch\u00f6rten, un grand ma\u00eetre Dzogch\u00e8n de la r\u00e9gion de l’Amdo, dans le Tibet de l’Est. Mila Khyentse est l’actuel d\u00e9tenteur de sa lign\u00e9e. Il s’efforce de rendre la tradition du Bouddhisme Tib\u00e9tain et du Dzogch\u00e8n accessible \u00e0 la pens\u00e9e et aux besoins actuels en Occident et en Asie. Il est le traducteur fran\u00e7ais de plusieurs ouvrages tib\u00e9tains tels que ceux des grands ma\u00eetres Dzogch\u00e8n du pass\u00e9 comme Padmasambhava et Longchenpa, et du c\u00e9l\u00e8bre Livre des morts tib\u00e9tain. Il a \u00e9crit de nombreux autres ouvrages. Il a enseign\u00e9 \u00e0 l’INALCO pendant plus de 20 ans. Depuis 2011, il enseigne le bouddhisme, l’hindouisme et l’histoire des religions \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Louvain. Il est le pr\u00e9sident de l’Institut Khyentse Wangpo et de l’Institut d’\u00e9tudes bouddhiques (Paris). Particuli\u00e8rement int\u00e9ress\u00e9 par le Dzogch\u00e8n, il a suivi les enseignements de Ch\u00f6gyal Namkhai Norbu, de Sogyal Rinpoch\u00e9 et ceux de Yongzin Tenzin Namdak du Yungdrung B\u00f6n.
